Dr Michael Dixon has a degree in Mechanical Engineering, a PhD in Metrology from theNational Physical Laboratory (where he developed the first dynamic force standard in the world) and 25 years experience of measurement in unusual environments.
In addition to his work with animals, he has developed equipment for measurement on the Polar icecap, the side of an oil rig and geo-stationary orbit.
He is the prime author of 8 patents and has over 20 papers to his name.
